Lenox Hill Construction has undertaken a rehabilitation project in West Chicago for the Main Street pedestrian tunnel under the Union Pacific railroad tracks. The work to be done involves repairs to the main barrel section, reconstruction of the approach path at the south end to ensure the tunnel is ADA compliant, removal and replacement of the retaining walls at the south end of the tunnel, and implementation of lighting to ensure adequate tunnel light for pedestrians. The innovative Stamp Concrete will be used to give the tunnel a great finished look as well.
